Moving from Business Ethics Education to CSR- An Empirical Analysis of Nigeria University Education’s impact on Combating Corruption.
This article highlights the importance of incorporating CSR and ethics education into business practices and university curricula to promote responsible and sustainable business practices. Empirical studies have demonstrated the positive impact of integrating CSR and ethics education into university curricula on students’ ethical awareness, decision-making, and perceptions of CSR in business. Nigeria’s ranking in international indices highlights the ongoing challenges of transparency, ethics, and CSR. However, progress has been made through government and private sector initiatives, and continued efforts are needed to address these challenges and promote sustainable development. The article suggests that transparency and ethics are critical components of CSR and can be achieved through sustainability reporting frameworks, ethical guidelines and leadership practices, and sustainable business practices. The implications for business practice and policy of linking business ethics education to CSR are significant, and policymakers can play an essential role in promoting the development of ethical and sustainable business practices through education and incentives. The article recommends future research to explore the effectiveness of business ethics education in promoting CSR and combating corruption in Nigeria, the role of universities in promoting business ethics education and CSR, the impact of business ethics education on corporate governance and social responsibility, and the effectiveness of government policies and regulations in promoting CSR and combating corruption. The influence of China’s FDI on the Economic framework of African (a case study of Nigeria)
The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of Foreign direct investment on the economic and political framework of Africa, using Nigerian as a case study. The foreign direct investments from China to Africa and particularly to Nigeria has not been received well in the pool of public opinion. However, the benefits the investment pool has on the economic and political framework is positive. Yet, researchers, believe that caution should be taken to avoid excessive FDI from China.
Corporate Social Responsibility’s Impact on Advancing Business Ethics, Sustainability and Sustainable Development
The paper aims to develop a framework advocating for a process termed “institutionalisation by education” of Corporate social responsibility’s impact on advancing sustainability, sustainable development, and ethics in business. The use of surveys was employed to answer further the questions that frame the external conditions that foster or hinder the institutionalisation of education on the effects of CSR on ethics and sustainability. Findings showed that ethics and sustainable development, from the higher education/university’s curriculum across the globe, needs more attention to be placed on it. The paper also aimed to promote a micro-macro bird’s eye view to study the impact of establishing CSR through teaching and learning at the higher education institutions. Therefore, to further the argument that education forms the basis of meaningful, sustainable development and ethics in business, particularly with regards to CSR; the paper uses the literature review perception of CSR and surveys to answer some questions. Questions about morality and amorality and what the role of education is in providing a strategy for a global and a more unified definition for future policy formulation and implementation. The research gap of this paper focuses on “Institutionalisation by Education”. The incorporation of strategic corporate social responsibility as a major in higher education institutions: perspectives and impact
The article aims to present a literature analysis as part of research that seeks to influence education policy in Poland, encouraging the incorporation of strategic corporate social responsibility (SCSR) as a significant subject of study in the Polish higher education curriculum. The description and analysis of the issue led to the conclusion that it is essential to incorporate Strategic corporate social responsibility into the academic curriculum of the Higher Education Institutions in Poland, as this step will result in a quality, innovative CSR policy formulation and implementation in the long run.
